Can You Add Facebook Pixel to Shopify?

Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising on Facebook. You can use the pixel to track conversions, optimize ads, and build audiences for remarketing.

Adding Facebook Pixel to Shopify

You can add Facebook pixel to your Shopify store in two ways: through the theme editor, or by adding the code manually.

Theme editor

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes. 2. Find the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit code.

3. Under Layout, click theme.liquid. 4. Find the closing tag near the top of the file, and then paste your Facebook pixel code immediately after it.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adding Facebook Pixel to your Shopify account may result in your personal data being shared with Facebook. If you are not comfortable with this, we recommend that you do not add Facebook Pixel to your Shopify account. Thank you for your understanding.

5. Click Save.

Manually adding code

1. 3. Under “Assets”, click on “Add a new asset”.

4. In the “Asset type” drop-down menu, select “JavaScript”. 5. In the “Location” drop-down menu, select “theme.js”. 6. Paste your Facebook pixel code into the “Value” field and then click “Save”.

Once you have added your Facebook pixel code to Shopify, you can start tracking conversions and building audiences for remarketing. You will be able to see how effective your ads are and make changes accordingly.
