Hyperlinks are one of the most basic and essential tools on the internet- they allow us to navigate from one web page to another with a simple click. But what about when you want to add a hyperlink to an image? Can you insert a hyperlink in Photoshop?

The short answer is: yes, you can insert a hyperlink in Photoshop!

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Open your image in Photoshop. The first thing you’ll need to do is open up your image in Photoshop. You can do this by going to File > Open and selecting your image.

2. Select the “Rectangle Tool.” Once your image is open, select the “Rectangle Tool” from the left toolbar. This will allow you to draw a rectangle around the area where you want to add your hyperlink.

3. Draw a rectangle around the area you want to hyperlink. Now that you have the “Rectangle Tool” selected, simply click and drag your mouse around the area of your image that you want to add a hyperlink to. When you let go of the mouse, you should see a black and white rectangle appear.

4. Select the “Hyperlink Layer.” With your rectangle still selected, go up to the top menu bar and select Layer > New > Layer via Copy (or Layer > Duplicate Layer). This will create a new layer that we will be using for our hyperlink.

5. Name your new layer. Double click on the new layer in the layers panel and rename it “Hyperlink.”

6. Select the “Pen Tool.” Now we’re going to use the “Pen Tool” to draw our hyperlink. Select it from the left toolbar or press P on your keyboard.

7. Draw your hyperlink..

With the pen tool selected, simply click and drag your mouse around the area of your image that you want to make into a hyperlink. When you let go of the mouse, you should see a black line appear.

(If drawing with the pen tool is too difficult, another option is to use the “Polygonal Lasso Tool” which can be found in the same spot as the “Rectangle Tool”).

8. Save your file as a .gif or .jpg.
.

Now that you have created your hyperlinked image, all that is left to do is save it as either a .jpg file type so that it can be viewed online! To do this, go up to File > Save As… and select either .jpg from the dropdown menu next to “Save As Type:”

.

That’s it! You’ve now successfully added a hyperlink to an image in Photoshop!
.

Conclusion:

. Can You Insert a Hyperlink in Photoshop? – Yes

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop CC, you can insert a hyperlink in your image. However, if you are using an older version of Photoshop, you cannot insert a hyperlink.
