Azure has several layers of Defense-in-Depth (DDoS) protection, including a global network of more than 1,000 Points of Presence (PoPs) and regional data centers in the U.S.

, Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America. Azure also uses multiple anti-DDoS technologies, including the Windows Defender DDoS mitigation capabilities and the Azure Application Gateway DDoS mitigation platform.

PRO TIP: Azure does have DDoS protection, however it is not infallible. There have been instances where Azure’s DDoS protection has been bypassed, so caution is advised.
