DKIM is a security protocol used to verify the authenticity of email messages. By adding a DKIM record to your HostGator account, you can ensure that all your emails are authenticated and verified. To add a DKIM record to your HostGator account, follow these steps:

1. Go to your HostGator account.

2. In the left-hand menu, click “Settings.”

3. In the “Settings” window, click “Email Accounts.”

4. In the “Email Accounts” window, click “Your Account.”

5. In the “Your Account” window, click “DKIM.”

6. In the “DKIM” window, click “Create Record.”

7. In the “Create Record” window, enter the following information:

  • Name: “DKIM Record”
  • Email Address: your@domain.com
  • Server: smtp.
  • HostGator.com.
  • Port: 587

8. Click “Create Record.”

9. Click “Close.”

10. In the “Email Accounts” window, click “DKIM.”

11. In the “DKIM” window, click “Verify Record.”

12. In the “Verify Record” window, enter the following information:

  • Domain: yourdomain. Click “Verify.”

13. If the verification is successful, the “Verify Record” window will display the following message:

  • “Your DKIM record has been verified.”

14. Congratulations! Your DKIM record has been added to your HostGator account.

PRO TIP: Before adding a DKIM record to your HostGator account, please be aware that doing so will permanently alter the DNS settings for your domain. If you are not comfortable making changes to your DNS zone file, we recommend contacting our Technical Support team for assistance.
