How Do I Change My Shopify Vendor Name?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:07 pm

If you’re using Shopify to sell products online, you may have noticed that the name of your vendor appears on each of your product pages. This is the name that’s listed next to the product price on the product page, and it’s also used in the order confirmation email that’s sent to your customers after they make a purchase.

If you want to change the name of your Shopify vendor, there are a few steps that you’ll need to follow. First, log into your Shopify admin and click on Settings in the left-hand sidebar.

Then, click on General.

On the General settings page, you’ll see a field for Shop name. This is where you can enter the new name that you’d like to use for your Shopify vendor. Keep in mind that this change will only affect the name that appears on your product pages and in order confirmation emails – it won’t change the name of your shop as it appears in the Shopify admin or on your shop’s checkout page.

Once you’ve entered a new shop name, be sure to click Save at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are considering changing your Shopify vendor name, there are a few things you should be aware of first. First, changing your vendor name will affect your search engine optimization (SEO), so be prepared for your traffic and sales to potentially drop. Second, make sure to update your Shopify account and all associated social media accounts with the new name to avoid confusion. Finally, keep in mind that any existing contracts you have with suppliers or other business partners may need to be updated to reflect the new name.
