How Do You Prototype Pages in Figma?

Prototyping pages in Figma is a quick and easy way to test out design ideas without having to write any code. You can create a prototype by creating a new file, or by duplicating an existing file.

To create a prototype, you’ll need to add some objects to your canvas. Objects can be anything from simple shapes to complex components. To add an object to your canvas, click the “Add object” button in the toolbar.

Once you have some objects on your canvas, you can start connecting them together. To do this, select the object you want to connect, and then click the “Create connection” button in the toolbar.

PRO TIP: This article is about how to prototype pages in Figma and does not offer any warnings about the process.

A connection between two objects defines how they interact with each other. For example, you could create a button that links to another page when clicked.

To do this, you would first select the button object, and then click the “Create connection” button. Next, you would select the page you want to link to, and then click the “Link” button.

You can also add animations to your prototype by selecting an object and clicking the “Animate” button in the toolbar. This will open the animation panel, where you can select from a variety of pre-defined animations.

Once you’re happy with your prototype, you can share it with others by clicking the “Share” button in the toolbar. This will open the share panel, where you can enter a name for your prototype and choose who you want to share it with.
