How Do I Create a First Order Discount on Shopify?

Discounts are a great way to entice customers to shop with you, and first order discounts are an excellent way to welcome new customers to your shop. There are a few different ways to create first order discounts on Shopify, and we’ll go over them all in this article.

The first way to create a first order discount is through the use of coupons. You can create coupons in your Shopify admin by going to Discounts, and then selecting Create Discount.

From there, you’ll want to choose Coupon Code as your discount type, and then fill out the rest of the fields with your desired discount amount and other details. Once you’ve created your coupon, be sure to add it to your checkout page so that customers can apply it to their purchase.

Another way to create a first order discount is by offering free shipping on orders over a certain amount. You can set this up by going to Settings > Shipping in your Shopify admin, and then adding a new shipping rate. Be sure to select the Free Shipping option, and then enter in the minimum order amount that you want customers to spend in order for them to qualify for free shipping.
