Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:11 pm

WooCommerce automatic updates are a great way to keep your store up to date with the latest features and bug fixes. There are two ways to enable automatic updates: using the WordPress admin panel, or by adding a line of code to your wp-config.php file.

Enabling automatic updates from the WordPress admin panel is the easiest way to do it. Simply go to Dashboard > Updates and select the Automatically update WooCommerce and all extensions option. This will ensure that your store is always using the latest version of WooCommerce and all extensions.

If you prefer to manage updates yourself, or if your server does not have access to the WordPress admin panel, you can add a line of code to your wp-config. Simply add the following line:

PRO TIP: If you enable WooCommerce automatic updates, your site will be automatically updated to the latest version of WooCommerce. This could break your site if you have made customizations to the WooCommerce code. Only enable this option if you are comfortable with this risk.

define( 'WC_AUTOMATIC_UPDATES', true );

This will enable automatic updates for WooCommerce and all extensions. Note that this will also update your WordPress installation, so if you prefer to manage WordPress updates yourself, you should not use this method.

Conclusion:

Enabling WooCommerce automatic updates is a great way to keep your store up to date with the latest features and bug fixes.
