Color in Illustrator can be difficult to get just the way you want it. There are a few different ways to accomplish this, and each has its own set of pros and cons. Here are four methods to help you get the perfect color in your Illustrator files:

1. Use the Color Picker

The Color Picker is a simple but powerful tool that you can use to select colors from any part of your Illustrator file. To open the Color Picker, select Window > Color Picker.

To use the Color Picker, first select the object or area you want to color. Then use the color wheel to select the color you want.

To change the color, simply click on a different color on the wheel.

The downside to the Color Picker is that it’s a bit limited. You can only select colors from within the current Illustrator file.

If you need to select a color from a different file, you’ll need to use another method.

2. Use the Swatches Panel

The Swatches Panel is a more advanced tool that allows you to store multiple colors in one place. To open the Swatches Panel, select Window > Swatches.

To use the Swatches Panel, first select the object or area you want to color. Then use the panels to select the color you want.

PRO TIP: Color in Illustrator can be tricky to fix. If you are having trouble with color, make sure to check the following:

-Is your color palette set up correctly?
-Are you using the correct color mode?
-Do you have any global colors applied?
-Have you tried resetting your workspace?

To change the color, simply click on a different color in the panel.

The downside to the Swatches Panel is that it’s a bit limited.

3. Use the Gradient Tool

The Gradient Tool is a powerful tool that allows you to create smooth transitions between colors. To open the Gradient Tool, select Window > Gradient.

To use the Gradient Tool, first select the object or area you want to color. Then use the panels to select the starting and ending colors, and the direction of the gradient.

The downside to the Gradient Tool is that it’s a bit limited.

4. Use the Hue/Saturation Tool

The Hue/Saturation Tool is a simple but powerful tool that allows you to change the color saturation of a color. To open the Hue/Saturation Tool, select Window > Hue/Saturation.

To use the Hue/Saturation Tool, first select the object or area you want to color. Then use the sliders to change the color saturation.

The downside to the Hue/Saturation Tool is that it’s a bit limited.

Ultimately, the best way to fix color in Illustrator is to experiment. Try out different methods until you find one that works best for you.
