How Do I Get My Tax Information From Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:21 am

If you’re a Wix user, you may be wondering how you can get your tax information from the platform. Here’s what you need to know.

When it comes to taxes, there are a few things that you need to take into account as a Wix user. First and foremost, Wix is required by law to collect and remit VAT on behalf of our users in certain countries. This means that if you’re based in one of these countries and you sell products or services through your Wix site, you’ll need to add VAT to your prices.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

In addition, if you’re using Wix Payments to accept payments on your site, you may be required to pay taxes on the fees that we charge for our service. For example, in the United States, we’re required to collect and remit state sales tax on behalf of our users.

PRO TIP: If you are using Wix to create a website, be aware that you will need to provide your tax information in order to comply with the law. Failure to do so may result in penalties and interest.

Finally, it’s important to note that Wix is not responsible for preparing or filing your tax return. This is something that you’ll need to do on your own. However, we do provide a tool called the Tax Information Report which can help you gather the information that you need in order to file your return.

To access the Tax Information Report, log into your account and go to the Reports section. Then, select the Tax Information Report from the list of available reports.

The Tax Information Report will show you all of the transactions that are subject to VAT or state sales tax. It will also provide you with the total amount of taxes that were collected on your behalf. You can then use this information to complete and file your tax return.

If you have any questions about how taxes work with Wix, we recommend reaching out to a tax professional or accountant for guidance.
