How Do I Import in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can import images into Photoshop. One way is to go to File > Open and then select the image that you want to open.

Another way is to click and drag the image file into the Photoshop workspace. You can also use the Place command to import your images.

When you use the Open command, your image will be opened in a new document window. If you use the Place command, your image will be placed into your current document as a Smart Object. You can also choose to link the placed image to the original file.

PRO TIP: When importing images into Photoshop, it is important to note that the image resolution will be changed to 72 pixels/inch. This may cause the image to appear blurry or pixelated. It is important to check the image resolution before importing to ensure that the quality of the image will not be compromised.

If you want to import multiple images into Photoshop at once, you can use the File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack command. This will allow you to select multiple images and have them all opened in separate layers in a single document.

Once your images are imported, you can start working with them in Photoshop. You can crop, resize, and adjust the colors and levels of your images.

You can also add text, shapes, and other embellishments. When you’re finished, you can save your image as a PSD file or export it as a JPEG, PNG, or other file format.
