As a photographer, you’re always looking for ways to make your photos stand out.One way to do this is to add a dust overlay in Photoshop.

Adding a dust overlay is a quick and easy way to give your photos an extra bit of interest and style. Plus, it’s a great way to add some texture and depth to your photos.

Here’s a quick guide on how to create a dust overlay in Photoshop:

First, open up your photo in Photoshop. Then, create a new layer by clicking on the “Create a new layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that creating a dust overlay in Photoshop can be a dangerous and potentially harmful process. If not done correctly, you could end up with a permanent dust layer on your image, which could ruin it.

Next, select the Brush Tool from the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen. Then, choose a soft-edged brush from the brush options at the top of the screen.

Now, set your foreground color to black and start painting over your photo. You can add as much or as little dust as you like. Just be sure to keep your brush strokes nice and light.

Once you’re happy with the amount of dust you’ve added, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. This will help blend your dust overlay into the photo for a more realistic look.

Finally, set the layer blend mode to “Soft Light” and lower the opacity until you’re happy with the results. And that’s it! You’ve now successfully added a dust overlay to your photo using Photoshop
