How do I redirect a URL in Namecheap?

If you want to redirect a URL in Namecheap, you can follow these steps:

1. In the Namecheap control panel, click on “Settings” in the top left corner.

2. Under the “Site Settings” section, click on “Redirects.”

3. On the “Redirects” page, click on “Add redirect.”

4. In the “Redirect URL” field, enter the new URL you want to redirect.

5. In the “Referer” field, enter the URL of the page where the user originally landed on the redirect page.

6. Click on “Add redirect.”

7. In the “Summary” field, review the redirect information and click on “Save redirect.”

8. Click on “Close redirects.”

9. In the “Site Settings” section, click on “General.”

10. In the “Redirects” section, click on the “Redirects” tab.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to redirect a URL in Namecheap, it is important to note that you cannot simply change the DNS settings for the URL. You must first set up a redirect through the Namecheap interface. To do this, log in to your Namecheap account and select the “Domain List” option. Then, find the domain you want to redirect and click on the “Manage” button. In the “Domain Management” section, scroll down to the “Advanced DNS” tab and click on the “URL Redirect” option.
