When you want to reduce the size of an image in Illustrator, there are a few different ways to go about it. The first option is to use the sizing options in the toolbar.

You can click on the sizing handle in the corner of the image, and then select one of the preset sizes. You can also click on the resize button in the toolbar, and then enter a new size in the dialog box that pops up.

The second option is to use the resolution options in the Tools panel. You can click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the panel, and then select the Resolution option.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on reducing the size of an image in Illustrator, be aware that you may lose some image quality in the process. To avoid this, try to resize the image using the “Image Size” dialog box instead of the “Transform” dialog box.

In the Resolution dialog box, you can select one of the presets, or you can enter a new resolution in pixels per inch.

The third option is to reduce the size of the image using the Paths panel. You can select the image in the document window, and then click on the Paths panel icon in the toolbar.

In the Paths panel, you can select the path that you want to use to reduce the size of the image. You can also use the Path Selector tool to select specific portions of the path.

When you reduce the size of an image in Illustrator, you may lose some of the detail in the image. However, you can usually restore the lost detail by increasing the resolution of the image.
