There are a few different ways to resize an image in Photoshop without losing quality, and it really depends on what you need the image for as to which method you use. If you’re just looking to change the dimensions of the image, then using the ‘Image Size’ option is probably the quickest and easiest way to do this. Simply go to ‘Image > Image Size’ and enter in the new dimensions you want.

If you need to resize the image while keeping the same aspect ratio, then you can use the ‘Canvas Size’ option. Go to ‘Image > Canvas Size’ and enter in the new dimensions you want. Make sure the ‘Relative’ checkbox is ticked, and then click ‘OK’.

PRO TIP: When resizing an image in Photoshop, it is important to note that the quality of the image may be reduced. In order to avoid this, it is important to use the ‘Image Size’ option in the ‘File’ menu, and to uncheck the ‘Resample Image’ checkbox.

If you need to crop the image down to a specific size, then using the ‘Crop Tool’ is probably the best way to do this. Simply select the ‘Crop Tool’, draw a box around the area you want to keep, and then click ‘Enter’. You can also use the ‘Rule of Thirds’ grid to help you crop your image correctly.

Once you’ve resized or cropped your image, it’s always a good idea to save it as a copy in case you need to revert back to the original at any point. That way, you’ll always have a high-quality version of your image to fall back on.
