There are a few ways to split an image in two parts using Photoshop.

The first way is to use the Crop tool. With the Crop tool selected, simply click and drag on the image to create a cropping border.

Then, press Enter or Return to crop the image. This will split the image into two parts, with the part inside the cropping border remaining and the part outside the cropping border being removed.

Another way to split an image in two parts is to use the Clone Stamp tool. With the Clone Stamp tool selected, Option-click (Mac) or Alt-click (Windows) to set a source point.

Then, click and drag to paint over the area you want to clone. This will clone the area you selected and paint it over the area you dragged over, effectively splitting the image into two parts.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to split an image into two parts using Photoshop, be aware that there is a risk of losing some of the image data in the process. Make sure to backup your image file before proceeding.

You can also use layer masks to split an image into two parts. First, create a new layer and fill it with black. Then, click on the original layer and add a layer mask.

Select a soft-edge brush and set your foreground color to white. Paint over the area of the image you want to reveal on the new layer. This will effectively split the image into two parts, with one part being on the new layer and the other part being on the original layer.

Conclusion:

There are a few ways to split an image in two parts using Photoshop. The most common way is to use the Crop tool, but you can also use the Clone Stamp tool or layer masks.
