How do I turn off preview mode in Illustrator?

Preview mode is a great way to test your designs in Illustrator, but sometimes you don’t want people to see your work in progress. There are a few ways to turn off preview mode in Illustrator.

One way is to go to the “File” menu and select “Preferences.” On the “Preferences” screen, select the “General” tab, and under the “Display” heading, choose “Off.”

PRO TIP: If you are working in Illustrator and you want to turn off preview mode, be aware that this will also turn off the snapping feature. This can be frustrating if you are trying to line up objects or text. To turn snapping back on, go to the View menu and select “Snap to Point.”

Another way to turn off preview mode is to go to the “Window” menu and select “Preferences.” On the “Preferences” screen, select the “Display” tab, and under the “Preview” heading, choose “Off.”

Finally, you can also turn off preview mode in Illustrator by clicking the “Preview” button in the lower-right corner of the Illustrator window and then selecting “Off.”.
