How Do You Add Another Layer on Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 11:45 am

When you want to add another layer on Photoshop, the first thing you need to do is select the layer you want to work on. To do this, click on the layer in the Layers palette.

Then, click on the “New Layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers palette. This will create a new layer above the one you selected.

PRO TIP: When adding another layer on Photoshop, be sure to select the layer you want to add the new layer to. If you don’t, the new layer will be added to the topmost layer.

Now that you have a new layer, you can start adding your content. To do this, select the “Paint Bucket Tool” from the toolbar.

Then, click on the area you want to fill with color. The color will be added to the new layer.

You can continue adding content to your new layer by using other tools from the toolbar. For example, you can use the “Pencil Tool” to draw a line or the “Brush Tool” to paint a picture. When you’re finished adding content, you can save your work by clicking on the “File” menu and choosing “Save.”
