How Do You Make a Pointer in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:36 am

There are two ways to create a pointer in Figma:

The first way is to use the “Pointer” tool, which is located in the left toolbar. Simply click and hold the “Pointer” tool to see the different pointer types, then click on the canvas where you want to place your pointer. You can also use the “Shift” key to constrain your pointer to a straight line.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when making a pointer in Figma, you could end up with an invisible pointer that is very difficult to fix. Be sure to check your work carefully before moving on.

The second way to create a pointer is to use the “Line” tool. To do this, simply click on the “Line” tool and then click and drag on the canvas where you want to place your pointer.

Once you have placed your pointers, you can use the “Select” tool to move them around or change their properties. To change the properties of a pointer, simply double-click on it with the “Select” tool.
