If you want to add some extra interest to your photos or illustrations in Photoshop, you can use a textured photocopy effect. This technique is easy to do and can be applied to any image. Here’s how:

1. Start by opening the image you want to use in Photoshop. Then, create a new layer by clicking on the “Create a new layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

2. Next, click on the foreground color swatch in the Toolbar and choose a light color.

Then, click on the background color swatch and choose a dark color. Now, press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) and click on the “New Layer” icon again to create another new layer.

3. With the top layer selected, go to Filter > Texture > Texturizer.

In the Texturizer dialog box, choose “Canvas” from the Texture drop-down menu and set the Scale to around 70%. Then, click OK.

PRO TIP: This article provides instruction on how to make a textured photocopy in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that this technique can result in lower quality images. Additionally, this technique may not be compatible with all printers.

4. You should now see your image with a canvas texture applied to it. If you want to adjust the intensity of the effect, go to Image > Adjustments > Levels and move the black triangle in towards the center until you’re happy with the results.

5. To complete the textured photocopy effect, go to Edit > Transform > Warp.

In the Warp dialog box, choose “Arc Lower” from the Warp drop-down menu. Then, drag the control points until you’re happy with how your image looks. When you’re done, click OK.

Your textured photocopy effect is now complete!
