There are many ways to make guidelines in Figma. The most common way is to use the ‘Ruler’ tool, which can be found in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

To use this tool, simply click and drag to create a line. You can also create guidelines by selecting objects and choosing ‘Create Guidelines’ from the right-click menu.

Another way to create guidelines is to use the ‘Line’ tool. This tool can be found in the same toolbar as the ‘Ruler’ tool.

PRO TIP: Guidelines in Figma are created using the ‘Line’ tool. To make a guideline, first select the ‘Line’ tool from the toolbar, then click and drag on the canvas to create a line. By default, guidelines are blue, but they can be customized by clicking on the line and choosing a different color from the ‘Stroke’ section of the properties panel.

To use this tool, click and drag to create a line. You can also change the color, thickness, and dashedness of the line by clicking on the line and adjusting the settings in the inspector at the right of the screen.

Once you have created your guidelines, you can move them by clicking and dragging them. You can also delete them by selecting them and pressing delete on your keyboard.

Guidelines are a great way to keep your design organized and tidy. They can help you align objects, create consistent spacing, and more. So next time you’re working on a design in Figma, be sure to use guidelines to help you out!
