How Do You Set Draft Order on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:21 pm

There are a few different ways that you can set the draft order on Shopify. You can either do it manually, or you can use a tool like Shopify’s Order Processor.

If you want to do it manually, you’ll need to go into your Shopify admin and click on the “Orders” tab. From there, you’ll see a list of all the orders that are in your shop. Find the order that you want to set as a draft, and click on the “Edit” button next to it.

In the order details page, scroll down to the “Status” section and change the status from “Pending” to “Draft”. Then, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to set the draft order on Shopify, please be aware that this is an advanced feature and should only be attempted if you are comfortable working with code. Please backup your theme before making any changes.

If you want to use Shopify’s Order Processor tool, you’ll first need to install it from the Shopify App Store. Once it’s installed, you can go into your shop’s settings and click on the “Order Processor” tab.

In the Order Processor settings, you’ll see a section called “Draft Order Settings”. Under that, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to set all new orders as drafts, or only certain orders.

If you want to set all new orders as drafts, simply select the “All New Orders” option. If you only want certain orders to be drafts, select the “Only Certain Orders” option and then enter the order numbers that you want to be drafts in the text box below. Once you’re done, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
