How Do You Split Slices in Photoshop?

There are a few ways to split slices in Photoshop. The first way is to use the ‘Crop Tool’. With the ‘Crop Tool’ selected, click and drag over the area that you want to crop. A new slice will be created.

To split an existing slice, select the ‘Crop Tool’, and then click on the line between two slices. A new slice will be created at that point.

Another way to split slices is to use the ‘Slice Select Tool’. With the ‘Slice Select Tool’ selected, click on the line between two slices.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the Photoshop ‘How Do You Split Slices’ feature is known to cause crashes and data loss. We strongly advise against using it.

You can also split slices by selecting ‘Split Slices from Layer’ from the ‘Layer’ menu. This will create a new layer for each slice.
