How Do You Turn Off Auto Layout in Figma?

Figma is a vector-based design tool that is gaining popularity among web and interface designers. One of the reasons for its popularity is its ease of use.

Another reason is its ability to quickly turn off auto layout.

For those who are not familiar with Figma, auto layout is a feature that allows you to quickly and easily create responsive designs. This is done by anchoring objects to other objects or to the canvas itself.

When you change the size of an object, the other objects will automatically adjust themselves accordingly. While this can be a time saver, there are times when you want more control over your design and need to turn off auto layout.

Here are the steps to turn off auto layout in Figma:

  1. Open the project in Figma
  2. Click on the “Layout” tab in the upper left-hand corner
  3. Click on “Constraints” in the menu that appears
  4. Click on “None” in the options that appear

You can also turn off auto layout for individual objects by selecting them and then clicking on the “No Constraints” icon in the upper left-hand corner.

PRO TIP: When you turn off auto layout in Figma, your objects will no longer be automatically positioned and resized according to the auto layout rules. This means that you will need to manually position and resize your objects.
