Figma is a vector-based design tool that is gaining popularity among digital designers. One of its key features is the ability to turn your designs into code. But can Figma also help you with your spelling?

Figma does have a spell check feature, but it is not as robust as some other design tools. In particular, it does not have a thesaurus function. However, Figma can still be a helpful tool for catching spelling errors in your designs.

To use the spell checker in Figma, simply select the text layer that you want to check. Then, click on the “More Options” button (the three dots) in the upper-right corner of the interface. From the drop-down menu, select “Spell Check.”

PRO TIP: This note is to warn you about the possible consequences of using the “Is There a Spell Check for Figma?” tool. While this tool can be helpful in identifying spelling errors, it is important to note that it is not 100% accurate. In some cases, it may mark correct words as incorrect, or it may fail to identify incorrect words altogether. As such, it is important to proofread your work carefully before relying on this tool for final corrections.

A pop-up window will appear with all of the misspelled words in your text layer. You can then click on each word to see suggestions for correcting it. When you’re finished, just click “Done” to close the window.

So, while Figma’s spell checker is not as comprehensive as some other design tools, it can still be helpful in catching errors in your text layers.
