Why You Shouldn’t Use Canva for Your Logo?

As a small business owner, you’re always looking for ways to save time and money. When it comes to your business’s logo, you may be tempted to use Canva.

After all, it’s an easy-to-use online platform with a wide variety of templates, fonts and colors to choose from. And best of all, it’s free!

But before you hit the “publish” button, there are a few things you should know about using Canva for your logo. Here are four reasons why you shouldn’t use Canva for your business’s logo:

1. Canva logos are low resolution

When you create a logo on Canva, it’s automatically saved as a low-resolution JPEG. This means that when you try to print it or use it on your website, it will appear fuzzy and pixelated. Not exactly the professional look you’re going for!

2. Canva logos are not scalable

Another downside of Canva logos is that they’re not scalable. So if you need to resize your logo for any reason (for example, if you’re using it on a large banner or sign), it will lose its quality and again, appear fuzzy and pixelated.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great tool for creating quick and easy designs, but it’s not the best tool for creating a logo. A logo is an important part of your brand, and it should be created with care. Canva is a great tool for creating other types of designs, but when it comes to creating a logo, it’s best to leave it to the professionals.

3. Limited design options

While Canva does offer a wide variety of templates, fonts and colors to choose from, ultimately you’re limited in what you can create. If you have specific ideas for your logo but can’t find the right template or tools to make them happen on Canva, you’ll be out of luck.

4. Your logo is not exclusive

Finally, when you create a logo on Canva (or any other online platform), anyone else can use that same template to create their own logo. This means that your business’s logo is not unique or exclusive – which is not ideal when you’re trying to build brand recognition.

So there you have it – four reasons why you shouldn’t use Canva for your business’s logo. If you want a professional-looking logo that’s unique to your brand, it’s best to hire a graphic designer.
