Can You Hide Products in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:55 pm

Are you looking to hide products in WooCommerce? Maybe you have products that are out of stock, or seasonal items that you only want to sell at certain times of the year. Whatever the reason, there are a few different ways that you can go about hiding products in WooCommerce.

One way to hide products is to simply set them as “draft.” This will remove them from your shop page and any other place where they would normally be displayed.

To do this, go to your product page and change the status from “Published” to “Draft.” This is a good option if you only want to temporarily hide a product, or if you’re still working on making changes to it.

Another way to hide products is by setting them as “private.” This will also remove them from your shop page and any other place where they would normally be displayed.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about hiding products in WooCommerce, be aware that this is not a good long-term solution. Hiding products can cause issues with your inventory, order fulfilment, and reporting. It is better to delete products that you no longer want to sell.

To do this, go to your product page and change the visibility from “Public” to “Private.” This is a good option if you only want specific people (like yourself or members of your team) to be able to see the product.

If you want to take things a step further, you can also install a plugin like Hide Products for WooCommerce. This plugin lets you select which products you want to hide, and then hides them everywhere on your site (including the shop page, category pages, etc.). You can even choose to hide products from specific user roles (like customers or subscribers), or based on certain conditions (like whether they’re logged in or not).

So, can you hide products in WooCommerce? Yes!

There are a few different ways that you can go about it, depending on your needs. Whether you’re looking to temporarily remove a product from your shop page, or hide it entirely from certain users, there’s an option for you.
