PRO TIP: If you are not careful when changing the grid size in Photoshop, you may end up with an image that is too small or too large. Be sure to check the image size before and after you make the change to ensure that it is the size that you want.

As a general rule, the grid size in Photoshop should be changed according to the image resolution. For example, if the image resolution is 72 pixels/inch, then the grid size should be set to 1 inch.

To change the grid size in Photoshop Mac, go to Preferences > Units & Rulers. Under ‘Rulers’, change the ‘Ruler Units’ to Pixels/Inch. Then, under ‘Grid’, change the ‘Gridline Every’ and ‘Subdivisions’ values to 1.

However, there may be times when you want to change the grid size without changing the image resolution. For example, you may want a smaller grid for a detailed image, or a larger grid for a less detailed image. In either case, you can simply change the ‘Gridline Every’ and ‘Subdivisions’ values under Preferences > Units & Rulers > Grid.

To sum up, changing the grid size in Photoshop Mac is simply a matter of adjusting the ‘Ruler Units’, ‘Gridline Every’ and ‘Subdivisions’ values under Preferences > Units & Rulers.
