How Do I Enable Editing in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 9:30 pm

In order to enable editing in Photoshop, you will need to first open the Preferences dialog box. You can do this by going to the Edit menu and selecting Preferences, or by pressing Ctrl+K (Windows) or Cmd+K (macOS).

Once the Preferences dialog box is open, select the “General” tab. Then, check the “Enable Editing” option.

PRO TIP: If you enable editing in Photoshop, you may not be able to save your changes.

Now that you have enabled editing in Photoshop, you can use the various tools and commands to make changes to your images. For example, you can use the Clone Stamp tool to remove unwanted elements from your photos, or the Healing Brush tool to fix imperfections.

You can also use the Transform commands to resize or reposition objects in your image. So experiment and have fun!
