How Do I Save a Photoshop Image as a JPEG?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:13 pm

JPEG is a popular image file format that is used by many digital cameras and web browsers. Photoshop also supports the JPEG format and makes it easy to save your images in this format.

To save an image as a JPEG in Photoshop, open the File menu and choose Save As. In the Save As dialog box, select JPEG from the Format drop-down menu and click Save.

PRO TIP: When saving a Photoshop image as a JPEG, it is important to note that the image will be saved in a lossy format. This means that some of the data in the image will be lost when the image is saved in this format.

In the JPEG Options dialog box, you can choose the quality of the JPEG image. The quality ranges from 0 to 12, with 12 being the highest quality.

You can also specify whether to embed a color profile in the image. If you’re not sure what these options mean, leave them at their default values.

Click OK to close the dialog box and save the image.
