How Do I Stop WooCommerce From Updating?

It’s no secret that WooCommerce is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms on the market. With its flexibility and ease of use, it’s no wonder why so many people choose to use it for their online stores.

However, one of the downsides to using WooCommerce is that it can be difficult to keep your site up to date. There are always new versions of WooCommerce being released, and keeping your site updated can be a challenge.

Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to make sure your WooCommerce site stays up to date. In this article, we’ll share with you how to stop WooCommerce from updating.

One of the easiest ways to keep your WooCommerce site up to date is to use the built-in updater tool. This tool will automatically update your WooCommerce installation as new versions are released.

To use this tool, simply go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Updates. From here, you’ll see an option to Update Automatically. Simply check this option and then click the Update Now button.

Another easy way to keep your WooCommerce site up to date is to install the Jetpack plugin. Jetpack is a plugin from WordPress.com that provides a number of features for WordPress sites, including automatic updates. To install Jetpack, simply go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New.

Then search for Jetpack and click the Install Now button. Once installed, you’ll need to connect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account. After doing so, you’ll be able to enable automatic updates for your WooCommerce installation by going to Settings > General in your Dashboard and selecting the Update Automatically option underJetpack Settings.

If you’re comfortable with editing code, you can also add a line of code to your wp-config.php file that will tell WordPress not to update WooCommerce automatically. To do this, simply open your wp-config.php file in a text editor and add the following line of code:

define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );

This will disable all automatic updates for WordPress, including WooCommerce updates. However, we still recommend installing security updates manually as they’re released since they often contain critical security fixes.

Conclusion: If you’re running an online store on WooCommerce, it’s important to keep your site up-to-date with the latest version. There are a few different ways you can do this: by using the built-in updater tool, installing the Jetpack plugin, or adding a line of code to your wp-config.php file.
