In Illustrator, text effects can be added by selecting the text, and then selecting the appropriate effect from the Effects panel. This panel includes various effects such as Drop Shadow, Gradient, and Bevel & Emboss. To add a drop shadow, for example, first select the text, and then select the Shadow button from the Effects panel. The Shadow panel will display a list of available shadows, and you can select the one you want to use.

After selecting the shadow, you will need to specify the distance and offset values. Finally, you will need to click on the OK button to apply the shadow.

When it comes to adding a gradient, you will first need to select the text, and then select the Gradient button from the Effects panel. The Gradient panel will display a list of available gradients, and you can select the one you want to use.

PRO TIP: Adding effects to text in Illustrator can be tricky and may result in unwanted results if not done carefully. Be sure to proof your work before finalizing any changes.

After selecting the gradient, you will need to specify the start and end points of the gradient, as well as the angle of the gradient. Finally, you will need to click on the OK button to apply the gradient.

When it comes to adding a bevel & emboss effect, first select the text, and then select the Bevel & Emboss button from the Effects panel. The Bevel & Emboss panel will display a list of available bevels, and you can select the one you want to use.

After selecting the bevel, you will need to specify the distance and angle of the bevel, as well as the type of embossing you want to use. Finally, you will need to click on the OK button to apply the bevel.
