How Do You Resize a Photoshop Page?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 2:19 pm

When you first open Photoshop, the default page size is 8.5″ x 11″. However, you can easily change the page size to better suit your needs.

For example, if you’re creating a banner or sign, you may want to increase the size of your canvas. Or, if you’re creating a business card, you might want to decrease the size. Here’s how to resize your Photoshop page:

Step 1: Open Photoshop and create a new document or open an existing document. If you’re starting with a new document, click File > New. Otherwise, click File > Open and select the document you want to resize.

Step 2: Click Image > Image Size. A dialog box will appear.

Step 3: In the “Image Size” dialog box, make sure that the “Resample Image” option is checked. This will ensure that your image doesn’t lose quality when you resize it.

Step 4: Enter the new dimensions for your canvas in the “Width” and “Height” fields. You can also change the units of measurement if necessary. For example, if you’re working in inches, you can switch to centimeters or vice versa.

Step 5: Click “OK”. Your Photoshop page will now be resized!

Resizing your Photoshop page is a quick and easy way to change the dimensions of your canvas. Simply open the Image Size dialog box and enter the new width and height for your document. Remember to check the Resample Image option to avoid losing quality!

PRO TIP: When resizing a Photoshop page, it is important to keep in mind that the width and height proportions will be maintained. This means that if you make the page smaller, the contents will appear smaller as well. Conversely, if you make the page larger, the contents will appear larger. Additionally, it is important to note that when resizing a Photoshop page, the quality of the image may be affected.
