How do I enable SSL on HostGator?

SSL is a protocol that encrypts communications between a web server and browser. HostGator offers a free SSL certificate that you can install on your web server.

To enable SSL on your HostGator account, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your HostGator account.

2. Go to the Settings page. Under General, click the Security Settings link.

3. Click the SSL Certificate link. Click the Install/Activate button.

4. In the SSL Certificate Name box, type the name of your SSL certificate.

5. In the Certificate Valid From box, type the date that your certificate expires.

6. In the Certificate Subject box, type the name of your organization.

7. In the Certificate Authority box, type the name of the certificate authority (CA) that issued your certificate.

8. In the Certificate Password box, type the password for the certificate authority.

9. Click OK.

Once you’ve enabled SSL on your HostGator account, you’ll need to generate a key and certificate.

To generate a key and certificate, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your HostGator account.

2. Click the Generate Key and Certificate button.

3. In the Generate Key and Certificate dialog box, type a name for your key and certificate.

4. Your key and certificate will be generated and will be located in the C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\HostGator\SSL folder. You’ll need to copy the key and certificate to your web server. To do this, follow these steps:
