How do I freely crop in Photoshop?

If you want to crop a photo in Photoshop, there are a few different ways to go about it. You can use the conventional crop tool, the rectangular crop tool, or the freehand crop tool. Here’s a look at each:

Conventional Crop Tool:

The conventional crop tool is located in the toolbar at the top of the screen. To use it, first click and drag the mouse over the area of the photo you want to crop.

Once the crop area is selected, release the mouse button. Photoshop will then crop the photo accordingly.

PRO TIP: When cropping in Photoshop, it is important to be aware that you may inadvertently distort the image if you are not careful. If you want to avoid this, it is best to use the Crop Tool (C) and deselect the “Delete Cropped Pixels” option in the options bar. This way, you can crop your image without worry of losing any important pixels.

Rectangular Crop Tool:

The rectangular crop tool is similar to the conventional crop tool, but it allows you to crop the photo in a more precise manner. Then, use the left and right mouse buttons to resize the crop area.

Freehand Crop Tool:

The freehand crop tool is ideal for cases where you want to crop the photo without any boundaries. To use it, first click and hold the mouse button over the area of the photo you want to crop.

Then, drag the mouse over the area you want to crop. The freehand crop tool will then automatically resize the crop area to fit the area you’ve selected.
