How Do I Import an Image Into an Existing Photoshop File?

If you’re new to Photoshop, you may be wondering how to import an image into an existing file. Here’s a quick guide to get you started.

First, open the file you want to import the image into. Then, go to the File menu and choose Place.

This will open a dialog box where you can select the image you want to import. Once you’ve selected the image, click Place.

PRO TIP: When importing an image into an existing Photoshop file, be sure to use the ‘Place’ command and not the ‘Paste’ command. If you use the ‘Paste’ command, your new image will be placed on its own layer and will not be properly aligned with the other images in your file.

The image will now be imported into your Photoshop file. You can move it around and resize it as needed. To change the layer order, simply click and drag the layer to the desired position.

When you’re happy with the placement of the image, go to the File menu and choose Save As. This will save your file with the new image included.

That’s all there is to it! Now you know how to import an image into an existing Photoshop file.
