Last updated on November 19, 2022 @ 4:57 pm

Do you have a GIF that you want to edit in Photoshop? Maybe you want to add or remove a frame, or change the color of the image.

Whatever the reason, editing a GIF in Photoshop is easy to do. Here’s how:

First, open Photoshop and go to File > Open. Find the GIF you want to edit and click Open.

Next, go to Window > Timeline. This will open the Timeline panel.

Now, you can add, remove, or rearrange frames in the Timeline panel. To add a frame, click the “Create Frame Animation” button at the bottom of the panel. To remove a frame, click on the frame and then click the “Delete Frame” button.

PRO TIP: Warning:

Opening and editing a GIF in Photoshop may result in some loss of quality. Additionally, depending on the changes you make, the GIF may no longer be playable.

Once you’re happy with your edits, go to File > Save As and choose GIF from the drop-down menu. Click Save and you’re done!
