How Do You Copy a Color in Figma?

Whether you’re designing a website or creating a presentation, it’s important to be able to match colors exactly. Figma makes this easy with the “Copy Color” function. Here’s how it works:

First, select the object whose color you want to copy. Then, go to the “Color” section of the toolbar and click on the “Copy Color” icon (it looks like two overlapping squares).

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, copying a color in Figma can result in unexpected results. Make sure to test your colors before using them in your design.

Now, select the object whose color you want to change. Go back to the “Color” section of the toolbar and click on the “Paste Color” icon (it looks like a square with a downward-pointing arrow).

That’s all there is to it! You can also use the “Copy Color” function to match colors between different objects. For example, you could select a blue square and then a yellow circle, and both would turn blue.

The “Copy Color” function is a quick and easy way to match colors in Figma. Give it a try next time you’re working on a design project!
