How Do You Resize Text on Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:08 pm

Photoshop is a great tool for creating stunning graphics and manipulating images. However, one of its most useful features is its ability to resize text. This can be extremely helpful when you need to make changes to existing text or when you’re creating new text from scratch.

There are a few different ways to resize text in Photoshop. The first is to use the Free Transform tool.

This tool can be found in the Edit menu or by pressing Control + T on your keyboard. Once you have the Free Transform tool selected, simply click and drag one of the corner handles to resize the text.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, it is best to avoid trying to resize text. Incorrectly resizing text can result in distorted or unreadable text. If you must resize text in Photoshop, it is best to seek out tutorials or assistance from someone who is familiar with the program.

You can also change the font size of text by going to the Type menu and selecting Type Size. Here you can enter in a specific font size or use the up and down arrows to change the size of the text.

If you want to be more precise with your text resizing, you can also go to the Character panel. This panel can be found in the Window menu or by pressing Shift + F8 on your keyboard. In the Character panel, you’ll see options for changing the font size, leading (line height), and kerning (spacing between letters).

Once you’ve made your changes, simply click OK and your text will be resized!
